Halloween and Dia de los Muertos Soundbath
with MaLisa Martin
SUN OCT 25, 4 - 5:30 PM PDT (SUN OCT 25, 4 - 5:30 PM PDT)

This October 25th we honor our beloved departed in a soundbath and altar experience. The Celtic Halloween (or Samhain in Gaelic) orgins, say this is the time of the year when the veil between the worlds is thin. And we can honor, especially now, our beloveds who have crossed that veil. Living in the land of the America's we also have the tradition of Dia de los Muertos - honoring the dead with an altar, to celebrate them, and know their spirits are still with us. In many ways these ancient rites and rituals are profoundly similar. October 31st/November 1st is half way from the autumn equinox to the winter solstice - a marker in time understood by the ancients.

Please join us in celebration and bring your pictures for an altar, which we will create together for our loved ones, who guide us still. Bring flowers, and you can come as early as 3:30 to help set up the altar. Wear clothes and or a costume that you feel is important.

A spicy herbal tea will be served, and come prepared to share a story or two, about a picture you bring. Then we will immerse ourselves in a multi-instrument soundbath.
